Basque Culinary World Prize

Apollo have worked with the Basque Culinary Center and the Biscay Government from its conception to publicise this world leading culinary award.


This prize – which is now in its third successive year – celebrates a chef of any nationality who demonstrates how gastronomy can have a positive impact in fields such as culinary innovation, health, nutrition, education, the environment, the food industry, social or economic development.

Every year a jury, featuring some of the world’s most influential chefs, academics and experts, chooses the candidate who best embodies the mission of this unique prize.  Apollo handle all aspects of international media outreach – from organising media events in London, San Francisco, Tokyo and New York to arrange interviews with Top 10 finalists and winners in the most influential publications around the world.

Through the prize, we also draw attention to the Basque Country’s strengths as a gastronomic powerhouse and its expertise in food tech innovation.
